Fight like a GLENA

It's the ultimate story, really. Imagine "Rocky" but with more cage fights and less meat lockers. If you're a fan of people that just won't give up, and being a fly on the wall as you witness supreme personal triumph, then GLENA is definitely a documentary film you'll dig. The brainchild of Portland, OR-based filmmaker / director / editor and Digital One homie Allan Luebke, conceived (a.k.a. discovered) as he was working on a talk show for an independent TV channel in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge. GLENA is a fascinating glimpse into the life of Glena Avila, single mom and aspiring professional mixed martial arts cage fighter. Glena's commitment, vision, drive and talent are truly inspiring --- and to witness the sacrifices she makes to turn a dream into a reality is nothing less than enthralling.
