Sound Through Rosey Colored Glasses

Hosted by the Portland Advertising Federation, the Rosey Awards once again showcased creative work produced in our corner of the world, providing an opportunity for agencies and creative teams to receive recognition (and free drinks) for their ideas. While we’ve proudly worked on many Rosey award-winning spots over the years, this year was the first show to incorporate an audio specific category. So needless to say, we couldn’t help but submit some work we thought sounded cool. As it happens, the judges agreed.

While we’ve made a name for ourselves by embracing our client’s projects with the tender care of Mother Theresa, apparently that skill doesn’t translate to receiving a physical award. Within ten minutes of acceptance, our lovely prize was broken into two pieces. Was it Ryan Mauk’s enthusiasm? Was it the undulating crowd? Was it the free drinks? A rookie maneuver for sure, but we’re not the only ones to trash our trophy (the other casualties shall go un-named).

Take a look at the Rosey Award-winning “Nike+ Training Social Promos” below. Special thanks to our great client Jesse Canright at Nike and our talented producer Bernadette Spear for letting sound designer Eric Stolberg have fun. See all of the award-winning work on the 2013 Rosey Award Pinterest site.
