Finally! ParaNorman officially hits theaters across the nation after years spent nail-biting in anticipation for the next visual wonder from Laika, Portland-based stop-motion MacGyvers. The long awaited release of ParaNorman follows on the coattails of 2009’s Coraline, the 3D stop-motion film based on Neil Gaiman’s children’s book of the same name.
In addition to today being flat-out awesome because it’s Friday, it’s beautiful outside, and there’s an ultra-rad zombie stop-motion flick in a theater near you, Nike has released an extremely limited quantity of supernatural special edition (not to mention glowing) Nike Air Foamposite sneakers in honor of the weirdo-hero. If these kicks strike your fancy, head over to foamposite.paranorman.com for info on how to enter the #weirdwins contest extravaganza; they only made 800 pairs, so if you want a piece of Nike history, it’s time to get your weird on.
Take a peek at the film below, and go catch it in theaters this weekend! If you’re in the Portland area, check the showtimes here :]
