The Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival 2012 edition is almost upon us, and we here at Digital One couldn’t be more jazzed about it. Hitting Portland Art Museum’s Whitsell Auditorium, the Mission Theater and the Northwest Film Center School of Film, November 9th through the 18th —- this is your chance to see some amazing films by Northwest filmmakers based in your own proverbial backyard.
Take a gander at the full film schedule and showtimes, and while you’re at it, pick up some festival tickets or passes. It’s hard to narrow down what we’re most excited to see, so we’re casting a wide net and are hoping to catch as many as we can during the ten day festival. There are some real gems out there…now it’s just up to you to see them for yourself.
There’s a slew of events happening for the duration of the festival, including an opening night party at the Northwest Film Center School of Film this Friday, November 9th @ 9pm, a “Behind the Scenes at Laika: Making ParaNorman” session on Saturday, November 17th at 3pm, and the Filmmakers’ Un-Conference (BarCamp) @ the Northwest Film Center School of Film on Saturday, November 10th from 10am – 5pm. BONUS: This will be the 3rd year that Digital One’s very own Ryan Mauk will be attending the Un-Conference, answering questions and providing input regarding audio production for film, TV and Radio.
Check the NW Filmmakers’ Festival website for more information about this, and other fantastic events. We hope to see you out and about, supporting filmmakers of the Northwest!!
